Mrs. Adler - She made Thoreau exciting ! Mr Karp - I'd never have passed the Social Studies Regents without his help ! Mr. Watthews - He made biology and disecting critters exciting. Mrs York - Her love of music inspired my love in music. Mr. Spelich - I never considered myself an artist until I took his classes. Mr. Schartzer - Believe it or not, he was a blind date my first year in college...talk about embarassing...

Mr. DeCecco: he practiced what he preached - "...if you treat a man as he can and ought to be, he may become as he can and ought to be." (p 16, '67 yrbook). I'm sure he meant women as well. Mrs. York for inspiring her students and defining "classiness." Mr. Karp for his wit and fairness. Mrs. Crummey for her compassion and caring. Most especially, Kimball Howes - he put up with a lot from us (joining the "sit down" and not freaking out by the alarm clocks in our lockers during Senior Week)!

finally figured out what to be when I grow up. This realization is relatively recent (2 years ago). I'm currently working on Master's in Special Education at Columbus State Univ. I'll probably be one of those old ladies who will be written up for graduating at the age of 90!

Marcy Stafford-taught me that sportsmanship is everything. Gordon Molyneux-taught me to be politically active (and also that powerful looking men with stern bearing are usually sentimental on the inside). Mrs. Adler, of course. I still have her AP notes. Mrs. Barnes, gr. 6, Elsmere-made me think I was a great writer.

I've been married to Tom Doody (LaSalle '64) for 37 years and going strong. Anyone who doesn't make it to the reunion is still as much a part of us as those who do. We are bound together. I am always amazed that when I reconnect with a classmate there is an instant, fluid jump from there to here. It's "Beam me sideways, Scotty."

I feel very connected to my old classmates. We shared a crutial time in our lives...A time of change, challenge, insecurities, successes. I our own ways, each of us were asking the "big questions" and looking for answers. Perhaps we are all doing that again! On top of that, the world we were entering in 1967 was so exciting and in such flux and hopefully we all made it through that and more.

I've created a number of departments and programs in my career including starting up and managing an assisted living facility and an adult day health center. A year ago, I scaled back my responsibilities but all the projects I started are up and running successfully. My husband, Lew, died suddenly in 2004 after 34 years of marriage. I'm proud of how I handled the loss and all the changes in my life.
