I really liked Patti's idea of getting all the information/data collected from past community conversations and categorizing it. This may give us better direction in our services areas especially those that have a direct connect with the community like recruitment and the Enrollment Center.

The problem arises when a student takes a non credit course and does not have a record in our system that aligns with PS. The course is paid for with VA $ but no permanent record of that learning occurs with a student ID.

As the primary portal for our college (not unlike an enrollment center, an MTEC, or a Learning Corner), what do we need to do to see that our website is delivering the most effective and efficient information to viewers? There currently is no one person overseeing the development of criteria (that I know of) for an effective portal. Of course, I would recommend that one person be charged with this project as the key driver of this work over the next year. It might be considered as a mid year budget request as well to an outside vendor if applicable and appropriate.

I suggest that Julie Parks be a part of this team because of her role with non-credit work. As for a project, it would be good for the college to better track how students move through the college between credit and non-credit programs. Also, we want to learn more about placement of those students. Julie would be a key person to serve on this team.
